Martin Guptill and Trent Boult will not feature in this series. The management has brought the pacer, Blair Tickner, into the side replacing Boult. The Kiwis will fancy their chances in this series as they are playing at home and know the conditions very well. This promises to be an entertaining encounter if rain does intervene tomorrow.

The pitch is expected to provide decent support to both the batters and the bowlers. Batters will look to take advantage of the short square boundaries after getting their eye in.

The new ball bowlers will get lots of lateral movement early on. The spinners don’t have a good record at the Sky Stadium. The team winning the toss will look to bowl first and chase down the target under lights in the second innings.
