India vs South Africa T20 World Cup 2022: India and South Africa clashed with each other in their third encounter of the tournament at the Perth Stadium in Perth. It was fiery pitch that saw the batters of both the sides struggling. But in the end it was the Proteas who played exceptionally well and bagged a win under their belt.

India vs South Africa: South Africa pounds India by 5 wickets in Perth 

Batting first, after winning the toss, it was a horrendous outing for Team India as after moderate two overs nothing went in their favour. They lost wickets in clusters with half of their side back in the hut for just 49 runs.

It didn’t seem that they wouldn’t go past even 100 runs but Suryakumar Yadav produced a magnificent innings under pressure and scored 68 runs to help his side post a total of 133 runs on the board.

After that Arshdeep Singh took India off the flyer as he removed Quinton de Kock (1) and Rilee Rossouw (0) in his first over before Mohammad Shami chipped in to remove Temba Bavuma for 10 runs to leave Soutb Africa tottering at 24/3.

But after that it was the duo of Aiden Markram (52) and David Miller who steadied the South African ship and stitched 76-run partnership for their side and took them close to the victory. Although R Ashwin removed Tristan Stubbs but in the end, it was Miller who held his nerves and took his team home with his unbeaten half-century.

South African pacer Lungi Ngidi was awarded Player of the Match in the game against India in Perth. The right-arm pacer rattled India’s batting lineup and left them tottering at 49/5. He was main reason behind India’s collapse as he removed the likes of KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya to return with the figures of 4/29.
